I would agree with you to unload only if one does not incur a lot of losses.  But stock market have bounced back almost 100% even after 2009 crush 1930s crush.  I disagree with you that it takes 2yrs for uuu to bounce back because uranium is fuel it is used on daily basis with limited quantity available.  I will keep my stocks unlike last year when I sold First quantum minerals for $60 and it is trading at $126 today, Western Potash sold at 0.42 cents, now trading at 1.40, katanga mining sold at 0.80 now trading at 1.70, uuu sold at 2.12 now trading at 3.30 the list goes on.  i have learned my lesson the hard way, i will stick to my gun and hold my stocks no matter what, because what counts is when you sell.   After you sell, you may miss the big rally and then kick yourself in the nuts.
