Good Bloomberg articleAppreciate that most contributors to this board do so more for entertainment than P&L, but for those who are interested this article sums up what has been going on and includes a quote from the usual CGG spokesman:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-13/sino-forest-drags-down-chinese-stocks-in-canada.html
It is anyone's guess what the true state of play is at Sino-Forest Corp but I would have a little more confidence in the operations of CGG and other quasi state backed resource entities. (If not then we all have bigger problems than any position in CGG). Of course that doesn't stop a run like we have seen of late. Especially since the daily volume remains so light that very little capital is required to affect a significant share price move.
All rather unfortunate for management given how recently the HKSE listing was completed. I would hope and expect that every effort is being made to expedite any pending resource upgrade/drill results from the latest drill programme at CSH.
Cheers
