RE: OK can begin covering here...you doom and gloomers are laughable... did Dow go to 3000 and the TSX to 6000 after 2008, when the PE of the markets was even higher? yall preached the world collapse then....
once they decide on how, not if, to resolve the Greek debt, things will stabilize and the global UPward economic trend will continue. As priced into gold, every central bank including China is on fear is inflation, certainly not deflation! 3.50/gallon gas isn't deflationary, lol !!! the only thing deflationary is the US housing market and that is already priced into models. China has been raising interest rates like crazy.
there is more disposable investment cash available now than 2008, when it became cheap and the market went 50+ % after. the value of stocks as per PE (and it does matter) is certainly not expensive, statistically on the cheapish side. Corporate guidance across the board is certainly not negative for energy companies or banks or even car companies (yes, GM and Ford are even optimistic!!)
No G7 country, China or India are on brink of new recession. The US consumer continues to prove its alive and well, albeit not going credit crazy. Slow upward climb.. don't be headfaked... the worst from 2008 is over... normal correction and the Lehman contagion will not be repeated by Greece's debt situation... global govts have learned and seen and won't let it happen... think about that... they won't... its not if they help Greece, its what is the best way...
but its an emotional world... like the uranium market, does anyone doubt it really will rebound and not take 10 years? do you all really think oil will be $90 or higher a few years from now? if oil or the next libya happen and oil goes to 120, is that deflationary?
history repeats and learn from it... utlimately and not 10 years, the global economy rebounds big.. you only get strong 'long term' downturns when you have a bubble, whether housing, or credit or stock value... the bubbles already burst, no big downleg remaining... normal correction .. fall rally...
no saying the markets go crazy but SU will be higher going forward and not short for the next 3 year thing... did oil stay at 40-60 long? LOL....
