Bugainvilles

BugainvillesI guess Visure was not a total waste.  Excerpt from 51-101 at year end...

Visure 1X Well

The well was completed at the Lower Guadalupe with perforations from 3,080 to 3,145 feet and

the formation underwent a mini-fracture treatment. Testing started on December 21, 2010 with

erratic initial rates of up to 150 bopd but stabilized at between 15 and 20 bopd from December

25 to 28, 2010 (see Figure IX-3). The well is currently suspended pending evaluation of the

results of the production test and potential additional fracture treatment. The well should be able

produce at a high rate with artificial-lift method. If a successful stimulation method works,

adjustment to the recovery factor will be made.

The assigned reserve only covers 50 acres at 10 acres per well spacing.

Production and Decline Rates

The estimated initial production rates are 112 bopd for the Lower Guadalupe, 67 bopd for Upper

Guadalupe and 47 bopd for the Barzalosa in all reserve categories with decline rates at 2.15% per

month.

At least it will be worth a few million even in the non-primary reservoir.  I assume they will drill "development" wells and target the Caballos (primary target) formation at the same time.
