It is also forecast to continue in a defecit position from a production standpoint going forward for probably the next decade. The main catalyst for this increase in demand is it's favored use in many of the applications for renewable energy. Another huge factor in this increase is the result of China tightening it's export limits on REE's.
Neodymium is todate one of the key elements required in the production of the strongest magnets produced. With this increase in demand of course we see the normal price reaction which has resulted in Neodymium rising in price.
