RE:webcast from the MVRB.

RE:webcast from the MVRB.a lot of questions by every government group you can think of concerning environmental
concerns.CZN was represented so competently in all regards and answered all questions
that were asked of them by different govt. groups. some of the govt. people seemed to ask the
the same questions in a slightly different slant from the previous speaker as if they were merely
trying to justify there importance to the hearing.so much so that the moderator at one point
asked one of the speakers how many
more questions she had to ask, at that point  the microphone
was silenced and minutes later the webcast was resumed with the EC person asking her questions
in a less repetitive and to the point manner.because of the time that was taken up in her exchanges
the moderator, interrupted the the proceedings to hear the statements that the two Grand Chiefs
who had been waiting patiently to give in the afternoon.
both Chiefs supported the efforts of CZN  to develop and put into production a mine at prairie creek.
they spoke of the benefits to their people and to all persons resident of that south western part of
the NWT.  one of the more telling points was one of the chiefs observations that although he himself
was not an expert in all environmental concerns, he felt common sense should be used!
what a refreshing approach, hope our govt. reps. were listening!
just my opinion but i feel CZN along with the Grand Chiefs presented the case for the project
very well. another round to be webcast on Friday.
