Discussion with CFO

Discussion with CFOAs a supporter of wind power, I have been watching Naikun for some time (with some disappointment due to the current share price).  I spoke yesterday with Wilbur Lang (who called me as a result of a question I submitted over the internet).  Here are some observations:

I appreciate the responsiveness to my question, but it does indicate a slow day at the Naikun office - I am not very important in the grand scheme of things.

Mr. Lang clarified that the environmental hoops have been cleared at the Provincial and Federal levels.  What is missing, of course, is a contract to sell electricity, and thus the project is on hold.

But not dead.  The company is actively pursuing political avenues that may lead to approval as a power vendor in BC.   They are also looking at various private deals where they might sell their expertise, or even become a vendor of power to a private concern.

With all the ground work that has been done by this company, I think it is only a matter of time before they become very successful.  It might take a concerted effort to drag the Province of BC kicking and screaming into the 20th century to allow competition in power distribution such as has allowed new power companies to compete in Alberta.

The risk of course is that the delay might be too long and Naikun won't be able to stay the course.  Time will tell.  Look for lower prices before things improve, and of course, you should always be diligently looking for doo-doo on your own..
