RE: Is It Possible?

RE: Is It Possible?David,
I think you might have something there! The name , and classification, is very important.
As far as I know, Stans Energy is somehow classified in the S&P under energy company (read that on this board somewhere)
Reminds me of China Gengsheng Minerals (CHGS) which is classified as Rare Earth Company both in the stock market AND many analysts...and lumped together with SHZ, REE, and MCP whenever they talk about Rare Earths; the stock rises and falls with MCP and REE. CHGS actually produces refractory products for steel foundries and proppants for the oil industry, having nothing to do with Rare Earths. Yet, to this day, it is still lumped in and confused with Rare Earths! I actually shorted this stock based on its confusion, and made some money with it.

So, it may not be far-fetched to think that people may have confused Stans with oil and gas; especially when the big SP drop came after the news of the IEA release of the strategic oil reserves!
I hope this was the case.
