No Striking Out. Shares in Newstrike Capital surged after the company released further robust results from its 100%-owned Ana Paula Project in Mexico. The company released four infill holes spaced to intersect the mineralized breccia and were designed to delineate the geometry and continuity of the mineralization. Three of the four holes intersected mineralized breccia and all four holes returned strong gold mineralization. Highlights from the release include hole AP-11-48 which returned 4.71 g/t gold over 116 metres with higher grade intervals and hole AP-11-51 which returned 3.52 g/t gold over 190.15 metres, also including higher grade materials. Newstrike is continuing its drill program that was designed to test the mineralized breccia zone as well as continue with the program of step-out and infill drilling to define the boundaries of the Ana Paula Project. While true widths are not accurately known, holes drilled from west to east at 45 degree angles are nearly perpendicular to the perceived strike and dip of the sedimentary geology and are thus perceived to be a close approximation of true width. The Ana Paula Project forms part of a district scale mining camp that hosts Torex Gold's (TGX) Morelos Project and Goldcorp's (G) producing Los Filos mine.
