Under the terms of the agreement with its joint venture partner Milpo, Tiomin received US$7 million in cash and Vaaldiam will receive a further US$4 million if the project reaches commercial production and an additional US$4 million one year later.  In addition, Vaaldiam receives a 1% NSR on all mineral production from the current property package if the quarterly LME copper price averages US$3/lb or less and a 2% NSR above US$3/lb. Milpo plan to make this year feasibility study and Chapi Pukaqaqa
04/04/2011. As part of its growth strategy, the group plans to start Milpo this year the respective feasibility studies in their projects Pukaqaqa (Huancavelica) and Chapi (Moquegua).

As detailed in the company to the National Supervisory Commission for Companies and Securities (Conasev), the objective of these studies is to define the treatment capacity, investment and annual production of each of the projects.

Pukaqaqa contains skarn copper, gold and molybdenum. For its part, Chapi copper sulfides.

04/04/2011. Como parte de su estrategia de crecimiento, el grupo Milpo planea iniciar  en este año los respectivos estudios de factibilidad en sus proyectos Pukaqaqa (Huancavelica) y Chapi (Moquegua).

Según detalló la empresa a la Comisión Nacional Supervisora de Empresas y Valores (Conasev), el objetivo de estos estudios es definir la capacidad de tratamiento, inversión y producción anual de cada uno de los proyectos.

Pukaqaqa contiene skarn de cobre, oro y molibdeno. Por su parte, Chapi sulfuros de cobre.

La empresa también planea iniciar este año el estudio de prefactibilidad de su proyecto Hilarión ubicado en Ancash.

MAYOR LEY PARA IVAN

En cuanto a sus unidades en marcha, en Iván (Chile), tiene previsto adquirir una nueva planta de chancado a fin de incrementar el nivel de tratamiento. Asimismo, incrementará la compra de minerales de alta ley a terceros a fin de sustituir el mineral de baja ley en el sector denominado Emperatriz

También evalúa comprar propiedades mineras cercanas para incrementar producción de minerales con mayor ley.
