The EVG Volume game

The EVG Volume gameAnother day, another bout of strange EVG trading.

Witness today, a low-volume day, until 150,000 shares, give or take, trade just before 2 p.m.

Really? Multiples of the total for the entire trading day to that time, trade in a very short time window, predictably knocking a few cents off the share price.

No tin foil hat here. No manipulation talk sure to draw a rebuke from the blog policeman. Still, that's some serious dumping, apparently by someone who didn't fear knocking down the price in the process.

This had happened repeatedly in recent weeks/months -- huge volume out of the blue in a stock that mostly is relatively thinly traded.

No, it can't be manipulation. Let's just call it massaging.
