J5 old historic 1965 well was not the target!
J5 old historic 1965 well was not the target!after talkin with co. today this verticle well (in todays news)drilled right beside this 1965 well was suppose to be a confirmation of this zone an the 35bbl/d, but when this well rolled in like it did they had to report it! this waz suppose to be a sleeper well! (yeah we know we got 35bbl/d)
"The Viking reservoir is locally thick under all of Parcel J5 and occurs at a shallow depth. A suspended Viking oil well in the middle of the property was drilled in 1965 and flowed 35.22 barrels per day on a limited production test, but was never developed. This is an unusually strong flow rate for a vertical well in the Viking, and the undeveloped reservoir remains intact and undepleted"
the chapman report given to POP showed this old 1965 verticle well waz NOT the best area in this zone! <(read this again) JMO
after talkin with co. today i can understand why they are very excited with this well! (its not the best location) i guess we wait fer more well DST's to come in from other wells!!!!!!!!!
sure makes fer a interestin convo 200bbl/d free flowin light oil with 1000 kpa wellhead pressure an not the best location!!!!!!!!!!!!
