With the disclosure that CPG has taken a major position in ARN, and considering we will be getting the next set of well test results any day, there is obviously no reason to even consider selling one share of my holding in ARN.
ARN is sitting on a huge land position in the most desirable fairway of this play. Much is being made of the Coral Hill/SCS big well, but that is apparently on a very thin formation, and as has been pointed out, the well production appears to be declining at an alarming rate.
Much of ARN's land base is also floodable, that of SCS is not. So ARN's total recovery rates and ultimate reserves should be much higher, and that is what potential acquirerors are looking for.
