RE: Am i the only person who laughs out loundActually boremuff - quite a few of us would be laughing if we were not also crying at the same time!
In a sense since the drilling has gone so slow over the past year - monthly news releases (which usually state very litte) is possibly "quite good!" When I worked fo a little Calgary based Junior exploreco News Releases were greeted with as much relish as going to the Dentist for a Teeth cleaning. The MMWC (Main Men Wot Count) would huddle around the boardroom table for hours and try to find the magic formula to compress the minimalist evidence of progress into the most favourable sounding wording possible with the most profound sounding ambiguity of actual content possible. Everyone would go home with a copy - even me the "Tea Boy" - and the wording checked for grammar and sense. Then the final result would be discussed in the final boardroom huddle before being sent off to the printers... It always amazed me how much of the useful details I would submit vanished from the final edition - my main final contribution simply being the placing of punctuation and the changing of a few sentences to make the word flow "more better!"
Never mind - if you have no well developed sense of humour - life must seem a pointless Tragedy sometimes.
Buying at this level is not without risk - but at least the risk is better understood at this time. The Shiranish (and by extrapolation) the Kometan are charged with sweet (no H2S) light oil and not gas. The regional data support the Kometan as having much better reservoir character than the Shiranish. The risk now is can they hit a few nicely connected fractures within the Kometan and get a decent test flow rate as the finish drilling this extra 200-250m? If they do it has all been worthwhile - but of course there are still hurdles to leap over before we can all take our winnings to the bank. If they do not - then we all will really need that sense of humour...
