Mr. Laurent Beaudoin reports
CONWAY RESOURCES OBTAINS STRONG ASSAY RESULTS FROM BULK SAMPLING ON THE CONWAY VEIN
Conway Resources Inc. has released the results of channel sampling done on the Conway vein as part of a six-tonne bulk sample taken on the Conway Paquin property. The channel sampling was done systematically every three metres over a distance of 15 metres (about 50 feet). The bulk sample material was taken from this section of the Conway vein.
The results obtained were as follows:
Conway Vein (g/t Au)Channel 1 6.24 Channel 2 12.03 Channel 3 20.85 Channel 4 7.75 Channel 5 26.30
The bulk sample material was ground and send to the pilot plant of a potential strategic partner (see July 12 press release), where it will be processed using more environmentally-friendly methods, in particular using chlorine instead of cyanide in a closed circuit. Previous studies using this new green technology on a smaller sample have shown an average recovery of 94.4%.
Laurent Beaudoin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Conway, said that: "These assay results confirm previous results obtained on the Conway vein. We estimate the average grade at around 14 g/t Au. If we apply a 30% dilution factor at nil grade to account for the inclusion of material from the walls of the vein during extraction, we estimate that the final grade of the entire sample will be about 9 g/t Au. We are impatiently awaiting the results from our potential strategic partner, which will allow us to assess whether this would be an effective technology for Conway. We expect to receive the results by September 2011."
The channel samples were assayed by fire assay with a gravity finish at Laboratoire Expert Inc. in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Standard industry quality control measures were applied.
