RE: Ten weeks to go!

RE: Ten weeks to go!the FDA has confirmed the date for a meeting of their immunology advisory panel to review our PROGENSA PCA3 assay for prostate cancer. The meeting will be held October 14. Extensive internal preparations are underway, and in preparation for launch, we are also making plans to beef up our medical marketing capabilities in the urology field.

(This was from Gen-Probe's earnings call talking about PCA3, copied from seeking alpha) Its clear that the word is not out yet because the share price should begin to anticipate approval. Once the FDA announces the date I would expect a nice jump up in share price. Does not really matter in the end because Gen-Probe is going to acquire them pretty quickly, in my opinion, after approval. 16% royalty payments will get steep over the years especially once pca3 is up and running on Panther and thats the reason why I see this taking place sooner than later. Someone else could step in and make it interesting, but for now we will just have to see what happens. I would like to see a strong move in price so at least Gen-Probe knows that they are going to have to pay somewhere in the $3.50-$4.00 range.
