RE: RE: There may be a bigger problem
RE: RE: There may be a bigger problem"Howver theres an even bigger issue hidden away in the annual report. One of the two stope raises that were driven in the BK vein has collapsed and has been abandoned. This is really bad news. These raises were less thab 18 months old. In good rock , I would expect these raises to remain open for 20 years+. This implies the BK vein will be difficult to mine safely and inexpensively , and many ounces may have to be abandoned if conditions deteriorate. Plus such ground conditions make planning and scheduling extremely difficult. "

I called to check on this and BPM said it is no big deal. The bad rock is in the upper portion of the BK only, at about 300 feet below ground level. The lower BK is ig good competent rock that does not even require much bolting. And they are pursuing an alternative plan for the upper portion so that no ounces of gold will be lost.
Also the issue with the seep at the tailings pond has been resolved. So scare is over. Just an old news item that they had to report for the sake of completeness.
Also they are working on a sales contract for the bags of gold concentrate that are just lying around at present. This concentrate contains 40% of the gold production. The dore bars they pour on site contain the other 60%
