Frontier Acquires Acreage in Southeast Alberta
CALGARY,ALBERTA, Aug 3, 2011 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --International Frontier Resources Corporation ("Frontier" or the"Company") (TSX VENTURE:IFR) today reported that it has acquired 1,120acres (100%) located in the Manyberries area of southeast Alberta. Thelands are prospective for an oil accumulation in the Sawtooth andSunburst channel sands. The prospect was identified with 2D seismic, tofirm up drilling locations Frontier plans on obtaining partner(s) toparticipate in shooting a 3D seismic survey and in the drilling of theinitial well.
In the Company's Glacier County, Montanaprospect area Newfield Exploration (NFX-Z) reported on July 20, 2011 thefollowing operating results for the Southern Alberta Basin "To dateNewfield has drilled seven vertical wells and has completed and placedon production two horizontal wells. Fracture stimulation services are inthe region executing on a program to stimulate and test multiplegeologic horizons in up to four of the vertical wells. All of the wellsto date have encountered oil. Newfield has approximately 320,000 netacres in the play, located in Glacier County, Montana." As previouslyreported Frontier has oil and gas leases issued to Newfield that are inclose proximity to recent vertical and horizontal wells licensed byNewfield.
Scouting reports confirm that Rosetta Resources(ROSE-Q) are currently drilling a horizontal well and that AnschutzExploration (private) are preparing a surface lease for the drilling of ahorizontal well on the Pine Ridge prospect. Both wells are beingdrilled on the north end of the Blackfeet Reserve in Glacier Countywhere Frontier holds a significant fee acreage position.
