And one simple, basic observation about investment in general: One of my golfing and vacationing buddies – a former owner of where I once worked – has an investment portfolio valued at over $200 million. He does not need to "grow" his holdings at all and looks for a typical "safe" 5-6% annual yield over a very diversified portfolio. He has no need to chase 10% or 15% returns, unlike some here, which gives him a very nice measure of safety because, in essence, he is working to protect his capital base and not take undue risk to enhance it. There's a lesson there for all of us, wealthy and otherwise. aclcmc
