RE: David Jan has left the company""to pursue other opportunities". This abrupt departure at such acritical stage is going to fuel all sorts of negative speculation. Maybe that Jan simply got a better offer elsewhere but I can't say thatthis eases my mind any."
Uberlandia,
David Jan was hired with a NR May 05 and let go August 11. In short, roughly 90 days of employment. On his departure, news that PCY had to amend some of the Q1 report. What exactly entails the situation I do not know. With his departure, and what I care about most, is that I see little to no disruption as Ms. Plavutska has been there since day 1 and oversaw much activity in regards to PCY including the spin off. Nonetheless, and like you suggest, I suppose others will chime in and voice opinions to the contrary.
Thanks for posting btw. I had overlooked the NR.
Per the May 05 NR:
"“We are pleased to have David join the Prophecy management team, “saidJohn Lee, Prophecy’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “His coalbackground is an excellent fit for the company. David’s expertise in
capital markets in Europe and North America rounds out Prophecy’s skilled management set well ”
With Mr. Jan’s appointment, Ms. Plavutska, formerly thecompany’s Interim Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed CorporateController of the company. Ms. Plavutska has been the backbone of thecompany and continues to be an invaluable part of Prophecy.
