Herceptin and brain metastases

Wow. This is startling and extremely favorable for a p97+Herceptin drug.

"The rate of breast cancer metastases to the brain may be higher among patients treated with trastuzumab (Herceptin®). This may be due to the preference for the brain by HER-2-positive tumor cells, poor penetration of the CNS by the drug or improved extracranial control resulting in improved survival and late tumor spread to the CNS."
