RE: Late day sell-offAll you have to do is look at yesterday's NR saying that the company posted a net loss of 11 Mil last quarter, and 16 Mil the quarter before that. A company is only as good as the amount of money it makes, regardless of what business it's in. Gold may be going up in price, but if a company that mines it keeps losing money, its price will go down.
I owned some stock in this company for a while, but I sold it recently at break even. I'm probably not going to think about getting back in until I see them turning a profit.
Question for the board: In the NR it says that the Govt of Columbia levied a 12.6 Mil equity tax on the company. Does anyone know what that is, and what kind of tax structure there is in Columbia for mining companies? Thanks.
