Re Insider
Re InsiderI have held PNP but find it can be as volatile as holding individual juniors so prefer the latter as long as I feel a fair info flow and reports are coming so the retail investor stands a chance. MGP has certainly been good that way, likewise for PG.
PNP hit $4.25 ( +- a cent or two) in Feb, but has come off to $1.75 today, a nearly 60% cut. They listed their NAV at $3.76 as of the end of July, so I assume much of the weakness is due to the summer doldrums or lack of the one or two great hits we all hope for. Perhaps it will be announced next month. PNP actually looks attractive to me at this point for anyone wanting a junior sector mutual fund (basket of jrs) so to speak. I must take a look at all their holdings - could be a nice bottom here
But it surprised that they had taken such a fall - general market weakness I'd say - a variation on the blue chips and perceived risk out there.
Cheers
