Yes, more obfuscation from AXI management. The "global Nunavut" resource will be 1 billion tonnes. Too bad the two deposits are roughly 60 km apart. So, to connect the two deposits you're going to need to build 60 km of rail, which, at $3 to $5 million per km, will cost somewhere between $180 to $300 million dollars.  Or build a deep water port for each deposit, each port will cost at least $180 million.

Either way, it's better to have 1 billion tonnes in one place rather than in two places.

I didn't realize how crummy the ore grades are at Roche Bay (26% iron with plenty of impurities), I assumed it was a Baffinland situation: great ore body, bad location. This is a mediocre ore body, bad location. Is there an emerging Canadian iron ore producer with worse grades?  Comparisons over the weekend.
