RE: DEADLINE APPROUCHING!!!!
RE: DEADLINE APPROUCHING!!!!There are obviously some GLD shareholders here and I don't really mean to offend them, but when TRR made the offer GLD was sitting around $.20c so the
.32c was actually a large 40% premium to their 20 day trade history at the time. Especially for a company that didn't seem to have any major catalysts in the near future to prop them up and were sinking like a stone.
Yes the timing of the offer may have been shrewd and opportunistic but considering GLD has never traded over .65c I find it a little ridiculous for them to not only expect a premium to their current market prices of .40c (which have already gone up 100%).... but to expect a 50-100% premium on their all time hit SP is insane!! Just because GLD was not finding the real goods and their managementcould keep the SP up is NOT TRR's fault. Trelawney is simply taking advantage of asituation that was presented to them and nothing more.
I could try to sell my winter car (which is a POS) for $10k but it's really only worth what someone is willing to pay...probably around $500, so you draw your own parallels on the GLD situation.
They don't have much more than some barren land above Cote lake and squeak by with something maybe near 1m oz on their Jerome mine which may, or may not even be feasible to do anything with. Plus it is nowhere near Cote lake and would be a small, unrelated side project if TRR ever decided to do anything further with it.
In reality if TRR came up to .50c I would be quite surprised and maybe even a little pissed at the share dilution for such a useless purchase. Trelawney does not need GLD whatsoever and I'm pretty sure everyone knows this. It just looks good "on paper" to a major if they have more land for "potential" growth and to have a monopoly on the area. Of course that's all JMHO but I personally feel that if GLD plays hardball and gets greedy TRR should just drop the issue and move on or offer them .10c and play hardball back. In this situation TRR IS the major buying the little guy, GLD. They should just accept their fate and take the TRR shares and realize it's a much better opportunity than a company with very little prospect.
