RE: For the record....

RE: For the record....Chris: well said. It expresses why many of us hold "speculative" shares (by which I mean in companies that have interesting technology,  products, or, in the case of EC, potentially explosive geology). For me, I came to EC on the heels of Aurelian's success at Fruta del Norte. When I realized that the pull apart basin theory, as relates to epithermal deposits at FdN, impacted EC directly (by virtue of location) I began to accumulate shares. And, yes, it has been frustrating - with the endless (and costly) litigation with Tocantins over the Mn operation in Brazil (where EC emerged victorious)  and the impossibly long halt to exploration called by the Correa government in Ecuador while it drafted new mining laws. These two developments drained EC's treasury, and (almost) killed us. However, we are alive, thank you. Under Willie Lamarque the company has embarked on an aggressive exploration program (funded by the sale of non core assets)  in one of the most prospective exploration areas on the planet. He is using his contacts from a career as a banker at Rothschild to identify opportunities for EC to expand it's portfolio. In short, his objectives to maximize the value of EC's shares, are my objectives.  It is what one looks for in investing
