RE: RE: UCR TO REJECT SANJORGE

RE: RE: UCR TO REJECT SANJORGEYes that was it for the article. It ended with `` we will extend `` suggesting more to come.

Well the way I see it is like this.

Initially it was agreed by all parties to hold St George until after the elections of Oct 23 2011.
When the UCR (radicals) got thier butts kicked by PJ (pro mining)  in the primeries ,the UCR leader (Iglesis running for governer of Mendoza) in an attempt to change the mood brought ST George into play and even went on to say that if he was voted in then he will scrap the mine. Paco Perez (PJ candidate) said he will put it to a binding refurendum if he is voted in. Iglesis didnt like that and stepped it up and said we are voting (no ) today thus forcing the hand of he PJ party to take a stand going into the elections. Pj has 22 seats in the legislature and Ucr has 18 and u need 50% of the votes plus 1 to win.
Three scinarios 1) Pj votes yes ( we win) 2) Pj votes no (we are screwed) 3) pj says we will not vote till after elections.

(Having said all that in my opinion its no secret that PJ is pro mining and the ppl of argentina voted for them overwhelmingly so I dont see why the PJ will vote against it

I hope this helped
