News coming out soon

News coming out soon
Today on "David Pescod's StockTalk--Late Edition"

Interesting comments from Scott Drever, President and CEO of SVL:

SILVERCREST MINES (V-SVL) $1.46 -0.13

I’m glad to see that Scott Drever is as confused about

the widening gap between the price of gold and gold stocks

as we are.

Drever, the President of Silvercrest Mines, suggests “I’d

like to see the gap tighten up between that big move in gold

and silver and the relative lack of performance of the midcap

and junior silver/gold players”.

Why is it happening?, we ask. He’s not sure whether it’s

the summer doldrums, the lack of risk taking these days

but its there and it’s making him a wee bit nervous.

Which brings us to the other topic that we keep wondering

about, just when do mergers and acquisitions start taking

place?

Drever suggests that there is a whole bunch of tire kicking

going on out there and he also suggests there are a lot

of mergers or acquisitions where it would make a lot of

sense to amalgamate and tons of people kicking tires, he

says. And everyone, he suggests, says it should happen,

but what is going to make it happen, he doesn’t know.

Again, there are many analysts that suggest sooner or

later we will start to see it.

Meanwhile, there should be news coming out of Silvercrest

over the coming while and they’ve recently started

trading on American markets, giving them a bigger audience.

Their quarterly numbers, which should show first

cash-flow, should be out in the next ten days or so and additional

drilling results on La Hoya are also expected.
