and silver and the relative lack of performance of the midcap
and junior silver/gold players”.
Why is it happening?, we ask. He’s not sure whether it’s
the summer doldrums, the lack of risk taking these days
but its there and it’s making him a wee bit nervous.
Which brings us to the other topic that we keep wondering
about, just when do mergers and acquisitions start taking
place?
Drever suggests that there is a whole bunch of tire kicking
going on out there and he also suggests there are a lot
of mergers or acquisitions where it would make a lot of
sense to amalgamate and tons of people kicking tires, he
says. And everyone, he suggests, says it should happen,
but what is going to make it happen, he doesn’t know.
Again, there are many analysts that suggest sooner or
later we will start to see it.
Meanwhile, there should be news coming out of Silvercrest
over the coming while and they’ve recently started
trading on American markets, giving them a bigger audience.
Their quarterly numbers, which should show first
cash-flow, should be out in the next ten days or so and additional
drilling results on La Hoya are also expected.
