They are emphasizing the "thight hole status" because they do not want the stock to drift too far down when the drilling is delayed ( as it is now) by people assuming it is dry. Rest assured if they hit anything reasonable, you will likely see it before the press release.
If they hit anything at all, commercial or not, it proves that there is actually oil/gas that deep, which means there is an active system. The main debate has always been if there is actually any oil in rock as old as they are drilling (i.e was there actually enough life on the planet to form hydrocarbon depositsthat far back).
If they hit a "commercial" oil reservoir, we'll all be very happy campers.
