as a reverse takRE: RE: Is MPE and TRE the sameTRE is a Hong Kong based company that traded on the TSX as a very large, complex organization. THey constantly made complex transactions in China for their Chinese forests that were difficult to follow or understand for buys and sells of billions of dollars of forests over and over. They had several non cash transactions that they claimed as revenue but really were not. They at one point were worth more than 8 billion dollars. Within the large complex transactions it claimed to achieve were some fraud which has not been made clear yet.
MPE's head office is and has always been in Calgary along with its mgmt team. It is so far a TINY company who has never pretended to have revenue even over $1 million in one year. In the last 3 years it has never been worth more than even 20 million dollars. It is easy to follow as the only real revenue generating business so far has been the greenhouse, so one can just look at the revenue and the cash flow from that. Basically there hasn't been anything claimed yet that could be worthy of being called a fraud. I think one of the reasons Raymond wants to do something in Vancouver is so people can go there and see it with their own eyes. Biodiesel processed in Vancouver sold to the local BC market, with feedstock starting from Vancouver. Possibly in the future ithe feedstock will come from the Yellowhorn trees they are buying in China, but again, any doubters can go watch them being processed in Vancouver, and it wouldn't be that hard to bring any serious investors for a visit to see their one or hopefully in the future two Yellowhorn plantations.
Their businesses are totally different too. MPE's greenhouse grows 12 inch seedlings and sells them to governments to grow into trees. Obviously processing biodiesel in Vancouver has nothing to do with growing trees in China. TRE owned large tracts of land filled with forests that they bought and sold. MPE and TRE never did any business with each other and have no affiliation whatsoever.
There are a few hundred legitimate businesses operating in China that trade publically in North America, thousands more that trade on the Hang Seng and Shanghai markets. Hopefully this TRE fiasco doesn't taint the good with 4 or 5 scammers.
