RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: More on Scale

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: More on ScaleIf 5 million tonnes of concentrate turns out to be the plan (and the vacillation about mining plans has been obvious), then the company should explain how they plan to ship 5 million tonnes of ore to Asia with a shipping season of roughly 63 days at Foxe Basin. If not impossible, a feat like that (with those massive volumes in that short period of time) is certainly unprecedented.
*
The AXI PEA, which focused on the nugget plan, is useless if they've scrapped the nugget idea. Nuggets are easy to ship. Smaller boats and a short shipping season are no problem.
*
If year-round shipping is required for the 5 million tonnes, then the company needs to start talking about ice and ice-breaking ships, massive ones that have been proposed (by Mittal at Mary River) but never built before.
*
LIM, as befitting a company just beginning production, has execs with iron ore mining experience. They have the guy who ran IOC's rail/port facilities and a guy who ran IOC's concentrator. Adriana, if it's serious about going into production soon, should also hire more iron ore guys, I agree with that.
