Wavefront Technology Solutions Inc V.WEE.H

Alternate Symbol(s):  WFTSF

Wavefront Technology Solutions Inc. is engaged in the advancement of dynamic fluid injection technology for oil and gas well stimulation and improved/enhanced oil (IOR/EOR) recovery. Through its Powerwave technology, it provides the oil and gas industry to place fluids into the reservoir. The dynamic action of Powerwave’s fluid pulses diverts injected fluids away from established flow paths, achieving better fluid distribution. Its patented Powerwave process is an injection technology that improves the flow of fluids in geological materials, including sedimentary soils and fractured rock. These materials are composed of a solid matrix and pore structure, which contain fluids such as oil and gas. The Primawave process is a method for aiding in-ground environmental remediation clean-up strategies in contaminated sites. Primawave provides the environmental sector with a solution for aiding in the clean-up of contaminated sites. It deals directly with exploration and production companies.

Nearly all the world’s active oil wells are now way past their natural peak production volumes and are now operating under secondary or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) processing. It’s a fact that after oil has been gushing naturally from internal reservoir pressures over a few years, often a decade or so, it starts to go on decline over a longer period, usually over another 3-5 decades and unless remediated with secondary recovery technologies, will fizzle out. Technocrat-entrepreneur and philanthropist Roger Kazanowski has been in the forefront of a pioneering EOR technology now marketed by the Wavefront Technology Solutions, Inc, where he sits in the board. Based in Alberta, Canada, it markets the PowerWave recovery system that promises to extend the lives of all oil wells on the planet by another 20-25 years, enough time for companies to perfect their processing of alternative energy sources.

Roger Kazanowski is proud to say that Wavefront Technology Solutions, Inc currently serves more than 100 oil wells in several clients with its PowerWave waterflooding technology. Its latest client is Encana Corporation which hopes to implement the PowerWave system to its Weyburn oil fields. With 963 active oil wells in about 70 square miles in Saskatchewan, Canada, the Weyburn complex is an excellent example of delaying the end of its lifespan. It was discovered by Shell in 1954, reached a natural peak production in 1966 and followed by a steady decline in oil output. From the 90s onwards, various secondary recovery technologies were deployed that included waterflooding, vertical infills and CO2 EOR. The last EOR has yielded incremental oil output valued at $30 million gross revenue per year. It should be noted that the wells have collectively yielded more than 500 million barrels since its discovery. But there’s more to be extracted.

With the PowerWave technology, Encana expects to add 10% of output from its estimated 1.4 billion barrels in place which at today’s prices is estimated at more than $10 billion annually. Cost of implementing the PowerWave waterflooding EOR is just a fraction of CO2 injection systems which in the case of Weyburn required the construction of a $100 million pipeline to bring CO2 from North Dakota to the Weyburn mines. Roger Kazanowski is happy to note that Encana has signed a pre-commercialization deal with Wavefront.
