RE: europeYou are quite right. Politicians will always follow the path of least resistance. So the only thing which will save Germany from another Weimar disaster will be the next election. German public opinion is slowly shifting away from the Euro, now that everyone can see its effects. So, it's likely that Merkel will change direction (again) leading up to the next election.
Either way, the Euro, in its present form, is doomed, as are all the other fiat currencies. One thing is certain - we will have huge inflation and all hard assets, including gold, will rise in value, measured in worthless currency units. The international bankers are busy making sure of that!
I don't know what to think about Eastmain, but a rising tide lifts all boats, so even the worst junior gold company will look good when day of reckoning comes. I don't know when that will be, but I do know that it will come eventually!
