D’ARIANNE RESOURCES (V-DAN) $1.82 +0.22
Welcome to September in the markets...which is notoriously not a good month for the markets. After September of course is October, which is statistically a good month...except when you have a big crash such as 1929, 1987 and all the other big crashes, that’s the month that it traditionally happens.
So in a market like this where many of us are still nervous and still shook up that so few saw the debt crisis impacting our little corner of the world, where does one go to hide? And still make some money, potentially? More and more people suggest it has got to be agriculture because people
still have to eat! And folks in Asia are starting to have better menus on their table, and they require fertilizer.
A story we followed for quite awhile, is D’Arianne Resources. The developing phosphate play in Quebec that Jed Richardson, former Sprott analyst, has been keen on for quite awhile. He now has a significant position with that company and many suggest/hope that down the road D’Arianne becomes a takeover target.
Who could be the buyer?
Well Mosaic seems to be just one of the biggies mentioned from time to time, but we ask the question today, is this breakout on the stock? It does hit a new high in an ugly market which has got to be a good sign, don’t you think?
