SND isn't tied to the stock of price of these companies but it is tied to their long-term performances. If any of these companies goes bankrupt or otherwise disappears (and it happens in various ways in the resource sector) SND will get pennies on the dollar for its investment.

It is essential that Novadx, Royal Coal, Terrex Energy, Donner Metals and Thunderbird Energy all become at least semi-profitable companies in the long run.
