SLX vs the Spot Price of Silver

SLX vs the Spot Price of SilverHello Bogapet:

I called up the Stockcharts chart for SLX.TO:$Silver.  (Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to actually reproduce it here, however...)

Looking at it, I notice that since the end of March the SLX price has been below the 50ma most of the time; the exceptions being:

End of May for about 2 weeks

Beg of July for about 2 weeks, and

Beg of Aug for about 1 week.

So, what would be your approach be in this scenario?  All other things being equal, would you be "in and out"  once it crossed over to the north, or would you wait until it stays above for several weeks?

And, do you apply the same reasoning to ALL investments in this sector of the market?
In other words, do you ever just day-trade to make a fast buck?

There are probably a few others, besides myself, who don't have your expertise and would appreciate your input.

All things said and done, as you have said and as I believe, TA is not the "be-all and end-all" of everything, but it does have it uses.
