RE: RE: More drilling
RE: RE: More drillingSome really back-of-the-napkin calculations:
- 1 cubic yard of dirt weighs at least 2,000 lbs = 1 ton
- possible dimensions of cap = 1km x 1km (length is actually closer to 3kms)
- depth of viable gold-containing material = 75m (half of approx depth to get to the "good stuff")
So, weight of cap = 1000m x 1000m x 75m = 75,000,000 tonnes
At .3 g/t that is 75m x 0.3 = 22,500,000 g = approx 850k ozs of gold
Assume heap leach at only 50% = 425k ozs of gold
Assume operating margin of only $700/oz
Gives you $300m of operating margin on "waste".
Please validate my napkin-math because that almost seems obscene for strip material.
Now of course all of this is purely speculative, but I've also been very conservative in cutting almost everything down by a factor of 50% virtually across the board. If there is 0.3 g/t in the cap and it extends for any size, it is very economic simply due to the amount of material that is involved.
