RE: Thinking of adding to my positionWell, I would be careful not to base my financial decisions on anything you read on these bull boards. Alot of posters have their own hidden agenda, and more times than not that agenda is to pick your pocket clean. There are however many other posters that try to help their fellow retailers by sharing their DD and insights with the board. It`s up to each of us to wade through all the b.s. and come to imformed decisions based on our own DD. Establish your appetite for risk and go from there. GDX has their El Pato project that has a non-compliant resource estimate of over 400,000 ozs. of gold, that`s a lot of ore and my understanding is that it is close to surface and will likely support an open pit venture. There is also a shiteload of silver at El Pato, management hopes to have a compliant resource estimate in the books by the end of the first quarter 2012. Management is also actively increasing the resource estimate through trenching and likely more drilling early next year. This is a fairly large concession and much of it is unexplored, we also have a very promising second property in Quatemala. Currently there is some political unstability in the country with a recent presidential election that looks like it will require a run off ballot between the two main contenders later this year. Quatemala is also plaqued by a high crime rate....mostly drug gang related, this perhaps has cast a bit of a shadow over the Quatemalan projects for now, but hopefully will be resolved with the next pro democratic government. Management has stated that they hope to have drills in the ground at El Arco early in October, this Mexican concession holds very good promise as it is situated in a very rich and active mining district with huge discoveries adjacent to us. It must be observed it is a grass roots project and as early as it gets in the exploration game. However targets have been established and a discovery hole will generate an absolute frenzy of interest. GDX is comprised of a very knowledgable team of geologists and financiers, my bet is they get the job done. Although I don`t like putting targets on a very speculative early stage company like GDX with so many moving parts....I do like the sector, I do like the management, I do like the properties. The trading is liquid, the float is manageable, the interest is high. If GDX goes on to have two ( maybe three ) multi million ounce gold and silver properties, and if the precious metals continue on their bull run, and if maybe we just start pulling that shallow gold out of El Pato to generate cash flow in an effort to minimize dilution and fund the bigger prize at El Arco...well a couple of bucks doesn`t seem out of reach.....and maybe sooner than later. All very speculative, but this is how fortunes are made. I`m in with a substantial position and will certainly add more on weakness. DD is your best approach. GLTA.....SS
