Mr. Glen Watson reports
LA QUINTA COMPLETES IP SURVEYS AT 3 PROPERTIES
La Quinta Resources Corp. has completed induced polarization (IP) surveys on the Carruthers Pass (British Columbia), Black Jack (Nevada) and Easter (Nevada) projects.
Approximately 1.6 kilometres of pole-dipole induced polarization were completed on surface at the Carruthers Pass project. Additionally, approximately 250 metres of downhole IP were surveyed in a diamond drill hole completed in the 2011 drilling campaign. The results will be used to construct a three-dimensional model of electrical responders on a portion of the project. Scott Geophysics (B.C.) is the contractor for these IP surveys. The final technical report of these results is anticipated in early October.
On the Black Jack project, northern Elko county, Nevada, approximately seven kilometres of pole-dipole IP were completed on the surface. The results are expected to focus exploration efforts on the sulphide-bearing silver-lead-zinc veins at this project. SJ Geophysics (B.C.) is contractor for this survey. The final technical report of these results is expected by the end of September.
Approximately eight kilometres of pole-dipole IP were completed on surface at the Easter project, Lincoln county, Nevada. In addition, a drill hole from recent drilling was used to create a three-dimensional electrical profile of the drill-indicated resource in the main vein area. SJ Geophysics was also the contractor on this survey. The final technical report of these results is anticipated in October. The Easter property is subject to an earn-in joint-venture from Pilot Gold Inc., whereby La Quinta can earn 65 per cent by expending $2-million on exploration prior to Jan. 4, 2015.
