A lot of his compensation is in the form of stock that he can't sell (so he's had to watch its value evaporate) and options at a price far above today's. (I think it's $6.) If the price goes above $6, I won't begrudge him the money. If it doesn't, the options will expire worthless.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him replaced as CEO, and it wouldn't make me sad, but Yellow's real problems have little to do with Tellier and nothing to do with his salary. My main reason for replacing him would be that he's lost all credibility with investors. My main reason for keeping him would be that I can't see a new strategy for his replacement to adopt.
