JFYI and without wanting to break the positive note of your message, Sheldon could not sell before Pinetree even if he wanted. It would have been a flagrant insider trading since it is obvious he knew what was the intentions of Pinetree (regardless to the reasons why they sell).
What would be perceived very positively by the market is that some OPEL managers buys at current prices. They would have the right to do so if they consider that the price is undervalued, regardless of what they know.
