RE: Metals getting hammered.....
Silver going to $20 dollars??? I highly doubt it but even so it would be very temporary. As usual at the first hint of volatility, the lemmings are running to the sea if only in thought...get a grip look at the fundamentals of why gold and silver have risen so sharply over the past ten years or so. The US dollar is in the worst shape ever because they simply don't know how to turn off the "printing presses". As long as that is going on you will see a rise in precious metals and more secure forms of value as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow morning over the long term. Those are the key words....over the mid to long term perhaps more accurately.
People exercise the herd mentality and are jumping into the US dollar this past day or so, what a friggin' joke. Anyone worth their salt should realize by definition, this will be a temporary lull before the real storm, and a lot of little guys are going to get burned buying what many others believe is basically a worthless currency like US dollars. There I said it...the US economy is going to hell in a handbucket....actually it is already there. The US economy is a mess as is the European, so where else will people put their money. The Canadian or Australian Dollar ??? Maybe there will be a little appreciation for these a bit down the line as compared to some of the other currencies but no matter what the established financial community does in terms of trying to manipulate the market and doing their level best to accentuate the pitfalls of holding precious metals, they will fail, eventually. Remember, that is why metals are called "precious" ; there is an historical reason for that. Put your money into them and I am willing to bet you will be better off in 3 to 5 years than in any currency, and most likely better than the vast majority of stocks and bonds, with perhaps, the exception of junior miners. Right now is probably as good as any and may be the last time you will see gold and silver at these levels in quite some time. Well financed, well managed companies like Silverquest will eventually fly even if there is some what of a time lag for sp appreciation of a year or two. All IMHO.
