RE: Buy now

RE: Buy nowWebgogs, I think you are underestimating exactly what is happening in the world out there. We're on the eve of a double-dip recession. That is fact. There are producing commodity companies right now who are significantly hedged, yet their share prices are collapsing. That tells you that there is serious fear in the markets. When you have fear, you have to evaluate it to see if it's justified. And from I've seen, based on the European debt crisis (Greece, Italy, UK, etc) and the economy which is not improving, and the lack of job growth, there is justification for this fear. The greater majority of companies that made acquisitions and mergers shortly before the 2008 recession got slaughtered. You will not see any company giving a fair value offer for CUU during these uncertain market conditions. You have to wake up and smell the roses and realize the facts, that Teck is unlikely to back in, and that any buyout is not going to happen anytime soon. In my opinion, this time next year people here will still be wondering when the buyout is. Every junior and mid cap copper play with a decent resource is expecting to be bought out. I can name a dozen plays where bullboards are active with people saying "we're waiting for the big buyout" Seldom does it occur when they expect, and seldom does it occur at the price they expect. Bottom line: Any buyout offer tendered now will be one heck of a lowball offer that will cause a lot of people here to be extremely angry. Timing could not be worse.
