some scuttlebutt

some scuttlebuttI was at a career fair in waterloo yesterday. Decided to pop by sandvine's booth and talk up the employees they sent. Asked about growth, competition (specifically allot), how the industry is changing.
According to this guy demand is huge, caputo and the leadership remain very positive, they meet with all employees very regularity. Current goal is to make SVC  a $1B company. They are outpacing all compeditors in R&D at the moment by a long shot and want to become the go-to dpi/QoS people. Said Q1 was a bit of a hiccup, but they are remaining profitable. Long term outlook vs. short term profit.
Anyway, nothing we don't already know but it was good to see how positive this individual was about the company.
