RE: RE: RE: RE: Latest email 5 minutes ago.Frozenone,
your post implies they ran casing. Maybe they ran DSTs on the way down below the intermediate casing, followed up with e-logging the hole, found nothing and cemented. I don't think there is enough in the news releases to date to make any reasonable assumptions on how the well may have been completed. Hopefully there were enough kicks or shows to run casing.... but casing is expensive, so the expense needs to be justifiable. A completions rig could follow the drill rig but there is nothing in the updates indicating that casing was run.
Remeber the August 4 update where the release stated:
Rodinia expects to issue the next drilling update report once Mulyawara-1 has reached total depth, unless a material event occurs in the interim.
Assuming they are keeping true to the commitment, nothing material was found.
Some other posters are speculating they found something of value....on the basis of news releaed to date all we really know is they found a lot of water (~140 m3/hr) in the desert. There is some value with that....?!?!? At least that may deserve a smile...rather than a heartfelt cry.
