RE: 10 Years of COS dividends wiped outOnly selling at those ridiculous levels will lead to loses, a paper loss is like a paper gain it is only on paper, meanwhile the dividends are real cash distributions paid in cash to your bank account, and those dividends are here to stay for the next 50 years; giving away this lucrative income stream because of a temporary funding problem in Europe is pure short term thinking; markets going through extremes is nothing new, COS lost almost 50% of its value since the top in April, did the company income stream compress by 50% over the next half a century? highly unlikely, if anything with peaking oil supply over the next few years, COS reserves and future cash flow should be ever more valuable especially within the context of paper money losing value.

This is when you buy when things couldn't look more ugly.
