Try again RE: Ceo to speak at Silver SummittNKTB5Registration open for Silver SummitBy KELSEY SAINTZShoshone News Press |
The ninth annual Silver Summit is right around the corner, where “you can expect the world's best experts on all things silver,” said co-founder David Bond.
Heads of the silver industry will meet Oct. 20 and 21 at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. The Davenport was built partially by mining money, Silver Summit director Shauna Hillman said, so it's a fitting location. This is the hotel's second largest event of the year, beat only by Hoopfest — there should be between 700 and 800 people in attendance this year.
Those wishing to attend may register online at www.SilverSummit.com or in person the morning of Oct. 20. Additional information is also available on the website. Registration is $40, or one ounce of silver — those intended to pay in silver need to call Hillman first at (208) 556-1621.
All local mining companies will participate, as well as companies from all over the world and market experts. There will also be more than 80 exhibitors.
Eric Sprott, who Bond said is a “major player in the silver markets,” will speak at the event, as well as Wall Street Legend Gordon Holmes.
Speakers include: Duane Nelson of Silvermex Resources Inc., Jeff Berwick of The Dollar Vigilante, David Morgan of silver-investor.com, Earl Bennett, Greg McCoach of The Mining Speculator, James West of the Midas Letter, Jeffrey Christian of CPM Group, John Kaiser of Kaiser Research, Roger Wiegant of Trader Tracks, Louis James of Casey Research, Bix Weir of Road to Roota, Bill Murphy of GATA, Peter Spina of GoldSeek.com, Chris Powell of GATA, Al Korelin of Korelin Economics Report, Michael Berry of Morning Notes and Bond.
Mine tours will be offered Wednesday morning before the conference begins, and space is limited. The Galena, Lucky Friday and Gold Chest mines will be toured, as well as the Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery. It includes breakfast, lunch and a bus ride to the Silver Valley and costs $135. Proceeds will be donated to the Women in Mining Education Foundation.
