RE: RE: RE: RE: RIO TINTO

RE: RE: RE: RE: RIO TINTOHard to say what Rio is doing really. BHP and Rio are always competing or trying to out do one another in every commodity. Right now they are after iron ore and whatever suits their portfolio and that could be any commodity. Like when BHP was going after potash or energy and with the M/A going on with BHP is going after a Brazilian company for iron ore. Doesn't mean they won't go after alumina again when it comes to the spotlight again. Rio not looking to sell all of Alcan yet just streamlining it that is all maybe spinning it off as different aspect of Alcan. Rio I think stated they weren't selling this year because of the market. Rio can be making a mistake like they did when they sold off potash assets and when it hit big they were out of the running for it when BHP did the POT bid. I would not be concerned really with what Rio is doing right now because alumina is still doing okay. JMHO
