"My problem with accounting is reporting all the potential future losses over a single quarter. That's the mark to market adjustment. If you report that, then you should be able to report the future operating earnings tied to those potential future losses because otherwise you only paint half the picture and obviously you penalize the current quarter (and in MFC's case, the current MCCSR)."
