The Gold Plateau Project is situated at the eastern margin of the Selous Basin where the Karoo and young sedimentary rock are in fault contact with low to high-grade metamorphosed rocks of Neoproterozoic age belonging to the Mozambique Belt.

Learning from  mistakes, working out the kinks and avoiding downtime- etc. I can understand how you as one who has 'been there done that' would find the Gold Rush series a painful viewing. That rag-tag crew running on a shoestring with equipment cobbled together by a near- cripple mechanic!
Makes for great reality TV- and I was pulled in immediately on watching the first episode last year. One cant help but root for those guys to make it. But agree also, they got a second chance because it's a popular show, not because of their learned mining expertise.
